When can I see Dawson Lake Gardens?

What packages do you offer?
We offer Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Sunday weddings from 30 to 300 guests. Pricing depends on your guest count and Menu; we offer several Ceremony and Catered Reception packages. You and your guests will have the use of our entire facility. You will have 3 hours for your Ceremony & Reception, and this time may be extended.
If you expect to have 100 or more wedding guests, you can reserve our facility for a Saturday night. Our most popular package is our Ceremony & Banquet package for only $5995 for the first 100, both of these include the use of the Gazebo and Amphitheater, the Historic House and the Dining Room, as well as all of our beautiful gardens and the fountain. You will have 5 hours for your ceremony and reception, and this time may be extended.
All of our catered packages include Ceremony chairs, reception tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, glassware, and Hors D'oeuvres and a Delicious food service for you and your guests. Our professional banquet staff will take care of your guest's needs, will cut and serve your wedding cake, and will clean up after your event.
We also offer Venue Rental packages by the hour. You may bring in your own food.

May I book part of the facility?
It is possible to book only the Gazebo, or one of the gardens for a Ceremony only, but booking priority goes to wedding packages.
How many hours does my wedding package include?
Our catered Wedding Packages run from 3 hours to 5 hours, plus the rehearsal. There is also an additional 2 hours to get ready. You have the option to extend your time with ANY package. If your Ceremony will be at Dawson Lake Gardens, we are happy to provide a Rehearsal, which will be up to one hour, usually the day before your event.
How early can my guests arrive?
We request that guests not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to the start of your event.
Can I take my Engagement Photos at Dawson Lake Gardens?
We are happy to work with you and your photographer on any weekday to take your photos. There is usually no charge to use our beautiful grounds if you are a client. Please contact us for an appointment time.
Does Dawson Lake Gardens offer full service catering for my event?
Yes, we are happy to provide the menu of your choice for your event. We offer several delicious full buffet menus. If you need a custom Menu for your event, just let our chef know what you need, and she will gladly create a Menu just for you. If you don't want a Seated Buffet, we are able to offer full table service for you and your guests for a small additional fee.
Does Dawson Lake Gardens offer bar service?
If you wish to offer alcohol to your guests, we have Happy Hour Packages that start at only $10 a person.
Can I bring in my own caterer?
Yes, we offer Venue Rental packages in which you may bring in your own food or use an outside caterer.
Will you help me plan my wedding?
Yes, your personal planner will listen to you and help you bring your wedding fantasy to life. We will make suggestions, but all of the decisions will be yours.
Do I have to use the vendors you suggest?
You are able to put your own team of vendors together, except for the food and alcohol service. But unless you book vendors for numerous events, you may want to consider using one of the experienced professionals (on our Vendors We Trust page.) We know which companies are the most professional, which ones offer the best value, and who to avoid. We do not accept a payment from vendors to be on our site - they have to earn the right to be lusted and to stay. A wedding facility that can provide lots of repeat business for a vendor has clout that one bride simply doesn't. If one of the vendors we recommend doesn't perform for you as agreed, they risk losing ALL of our future business.
What does the Site Fee include?
Our site may be rented by the hour for Weddings, Partys, as well as Corporate training sessions and similar functions. The site fee includes all of your tables and chairs, your room and parking.
How do I reserve Dawson Lake Gardens?
Our facility may be reserved with a signed contract and payment. We accept checks, MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.
When is the next payment due?
We will work out a monthly payment plan, so that your projected wedding cost is fully paid for 2 months before your date.
When is the final payment due?
We will need your projected final payment two months before your wedding, and your final guest headcount and any additional payments for extra guests 3 weeks prior to the wedding.
